NYCC Interview: Tony Shasteen

As I said in my accompanying article NYCC Interview: Robin Furth, I can’t wait for the Del Rey Books adaptation of Stephen King and Peter Straub’s The Talisman.
Can’t wait. Can’t wait. Can’t wait.
I love revisiting books through adaptations, whether the adaptations are comic books, movies or games. It reminds me of the great reading I’ve done in the past and how it is always fun to view the material through someone else’s eyes in a new medium.
Tony Shasteen, the artist on The Talisman, took a few moments to answer some my questions concerning his new project and what it is to come. The interview is broken into seven video pieces!
Part I of VII: Who is Tony Shasteen?

Continue onward to interview parts II-VII with Tony Shasteen!

Part II of VII: What is Tony’s favorite Stephen King book?

Part III of VII: Are Stephen King and Peter Straub involved in this project?

Part IV of VII: Tony talks about the NY Comic Con!

Part V of VII: Tony spills his guts about Robin Furth!

Part VI of VII: Tony on the Dark Tower comic book creative team.

Part VII of VII: Have you read The Talisman?

That’s it, true believers! My meetings with Robin Furth and Tony Shasteen!
But the truly fun part comes on Monday. You become interviewer, able to ask questions of Robin and Tony for the next six months! So get your questions ready and next week a Forum will open for your questions and every month I will select 3 to 5 questions to ask Robin about writing The Talisman and 3 to 5 questions to ask Tony about penciling The Talisman.
More on Monday!
