		<description>S.M. Stirling&#039;s &quot;The Change&quot; series, which encompasses both the Nantucket trilogy and Emberverse arch also makes for interesting reading.
It kinda-is-kinda-isn&#039;t apocalyptic in that it theorizes Nantucket being transported back in time to the bronze age (Nantucket) and a slightly more traditional &quot;all electronics/technology dies&quot; (even steam power) arch for the rest of the world (Emberverse).
&lt;em&gt;Island in the Sea of Time&lt;/em&gt; kicks off the Nantucket arch. &lt;em&gt;Dies the Fire&lt;/em&gt; starts the Emberverse arch.
