What if you changed just one letter in a movie’s title? Get Smart becomes Bet Smart and you’ve got a very different movie. That was the challenge posted recently to members of Worth1000.com, a talented community of 500,000 digital artists that participate in amazing daily contests. Another recent challenge was Villain Swap. The contests are meant to test the artist’s creativity and skills using graphics software such as PhotoShop and Aviary (Aviary just so happens to sponsor the website).

I thought Suvudu readers might get a kick out of these. Jump to see more of my favorites and links for all the entries from both contests.
ONE LETTER
The contest rule was simple, swap out or add/subtract one letter only from a film’s title and than redesign the poster. Any more than a one letter change resulted in disqualification. As with all things, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. These are some of my favorites from the contest. For the complete gallery jump.

VILLAIN SWAP
This contest produced some equally cool and amusing results. As with One Letter, the rules for this contest were simple. Take the villain from one movie and place the character in another movie. For the full gallery jump.

Worth1000.com hosts many more contests and galleries featuring adorable critters, mythic beasts, extreme sports, and much much more. It’s a fun place to kill time and if your boss catches you, well…you were researching images for a book cover…yeah, that’s it. I’ll leave you with the Photo of the Day for Thursday, March 12.

I liked the Stay Puft Marshmallow man in salt water-pickled sugar
. Of course Voldemort as Jack Nicholson isn’t that much of a stretch, Jack could have played Voldemort just as easily when he was much younger. The Joker just looks more sinister in Gotham Lake.
Cool contest.
