The Sideshow Star Wars

With all of this Star Wars talk lately, I’ve been thinking about adding something into my work space that reflects my love for those movies.
So while out hunting today for the perfect item, I ran across one of my favorite Star Wars scenes ever—in statue form!
As you can see above, Sideshow Collectibles has produced a simply great piece of work in Yoda & Clone Trooper. I happened to really enjoy Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith—minus the love dialog between Padme and Anakin, of course—and one of my favorite scenes from that movie or any of the six movies is highlighted in that statue.
A lethal Yoda storming the Jedi Temple, having thrown his light saber through the chest of a Clone Trooper, leaps up to withdraw his weapon.
It gives me shivers just looking at it!
I must have it. It’s perfect.
If you haven’t checked out Sideshow Collectibles, do it.
Your inner geek will thank you!
Now if I could only afford that Venom statue too…
Hmm…..

Oh hell yeah! This was the only Sideshow item I took a photo of at SDCC. And they had tons of coolness. I too want this sucker.

I just ordered it! I had to have it!

I too couldn’t resist taking a photo of this piece at SDCC. Here’s a look:

Awesome! I don’t care what people think of the prequels. Star Wars still makes me giddy.

Daniel, great photo! Is that the normal size 17 inch? Or was that much larger than that? It looks HUGE!
Heartless, I did not like prequels #1 or #2. But #3 felt like Strikes Back to me, dark and moody and filled with angsty dialog and animosity.
And that statue, to me, embodies much of that. I mean, just look at Yoda’s face in the multiple pictures at Sideshow. He is dark, dark, dark. Not evil. Just extremely focused and knowing what is coming. He is even ignoring the Trooper and instead is already looking to the next foe. Love it!
