Dragon*Con Starts Tomorrow!

Here it is the eve of Dragon*Con–which sounds so fancy, doesn’t it?–and I’m going to be live-blogging it for you.
Well, hopefully live-blogging. I’ve got my fingers crossed that I can actually access the web from whichever of the DragonCon hotels I’ll be in at any particular moment. So it may not be exactly live. Um, I’ll be living while I blog, of course. Otherwise that would be quite a feat. I’m dedicated and all, but I doubt even I could blog FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE.
Anyway.

I’m pretty excited about the whole thing. It’s been a long time since I’ve been to Dragon*Con–which, for those of you who don’t know, is (according to the official Dragon*Con website), “the largest multi-media, popular culture convention focusing on science fiction and fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film in the US.”
And I’m going to be there. More than that, I’m actually going to be a guest there, doing panels and stuff. Which for me will mostly consist of hoping desperately that I:
A. Don’t pass out from nerves;
B. Don’t sound like an idiot
C. Actually have an audience at my panels and my reading Saturday at 1pm (I’ll be reading from UNHOLY GHOSTS, the first book in my upcoming Del Rey series, so sneak peek alert)
D. Don’t have something stuck in my teeth
E. Don’t get stepped on while navigating the crowds (I’m only 5′2″)
And of course, hoping that I manage to entertain you all here. So, no pressure or anything.
See you tomorrow!

    Welcome Stacia and I’m looking forward to this! I hope you have some time to blog from or about your Dragon*Con experience. I’d love to hear about what it’s like to be a guest and speaker on a panel as opposed to just a audience member. I’ve never been to DragonCon, despite having lived in S. Carolina for a number of years in the past, so this is exciting!
    As to your list, I think you have a good shot at doing all of those things except point E. I’m 6′ tall and am generally a hard-to-miss dude and yet I was stepped on and run into repeatedly when I attended the Comic-Con’s (NYC and San Diego). But it’s okay, once you let go of your traditional center of gravity, you’ll make your way around alright.
    I’m looking forward to reading what you have to write!

    You’ll do fine! Have fun!

    You will do fine! I guarantee it!
    At least you aren’t a bald man like me, who, once he gets in front of a group of people, starts sweating bullets even though I feel quite comfortable. Nothing like a sweaty bald man standing in front of people. You don’t have that to worry about! haha
    Looking forward to your comments! Hope you have a fun time down there!
