Overall (for both you and Kim), I just like the idea that dystopian literature not only ties into the current state of our society (if put on a fast-forward progression), but also carries with it some of the respectability of "literary" fiction. Sci-fi gets a bum rap for being genre, and yet critics and readers can't get enough of it. I think some of my response to Kim was meant for you, as well.

But I do agree--zombies aren't going away, I just see them as part of the bigger dystopian narrative/genre.
