GELF Magazine’s GEEKING OUT features STAR WARS this Thursday, January 21, in Brooklyn

GELF Magazine might have finally jumped the shark with its monthly Geeking Out series. January’s event is Star Wars night and will take an in depth and fun look into how far the mania has spread from the movies. Del Rey authors Jason Fry, Star Wars: The Essential Atlas, and Joe Schreiber, Star Wars: Death Troopers, will be on hand to discuss mapping a fictitious galaxy, zombie Stormtroopers, and the perils and pleasures of playing in George’s sandbox. Members from the 501st Legion’s Empire City Garrison will be on hand to discuss all things trooping, from the hand made uniforms and armor they wear to the incredible charitable work they are famous for. Last, and certainly least, I will be there to…well, I’m not entirely sure what they need me for but I’ve got some fun give aways to hand out and I see drinks will be available (I hope that means beer).
Geeking Out will be held Thursday, January 21st, at 7:30 pm (doors open at 7:00 pm) at the JLA Studios art gallery in the DUMBO neighborhood of Brooklyn. Admission is FREE. Drinks will be available.
