Every once in a while I see something I must have.
Needs have.
Can’t live without.
It happened tonight. I was perusing the internet(s) as I do each night, looking for my next Suvudu article to highlight, when I ran across NeverWear. What drew me there?
A very cool and limited Neil Gaiman and Jim Lee print!
As I’ve said before, I am a huge Gaiman fan. The man can do no wrong in my book. He is poetic, pleasant to be around, humorous to a fault, and has that rock star quality usually only reserved for people in the music industry. There is not a single creative endeavor he has taken on that I didn’t like.
Then there is Jim Lee, arguably the best comic book penciler of all time. He possesses such a beautiful and dynamic style that I have followed his career despite rarely following any of the titles he works on. Like Gaiman, he is special, one of the top players in his respective field.
Together with Todd Klein, the man responsible for lettering the Sandman series, the print titled 100 Words is a gorgeous piece to behold!

As you can see, it is a long print with several panels. Gaiman supplied the 100 word poem while Lee added his wonderful art to it. It has a macabre feel but also shares a hope of life even in death.
I happen to think it is stunning. With two of my comic book and creative idols working together, I must have it. It will be in my possession before the month is out.
For $35, of course it will be! I will then take it with me when I help to cover the San Diego Comic Con and have it signed by Mr. Lee.
If Gaiman and Klein are there, I hope to cross paths with them…
Fingers crossed!
