New Addition to the SUVUDU Free e-book library: STAR WARS: LOST TRIBE OF THE SITH: PARAGON

Last year, Del Rey launched a series of free original e-books that chronicle the untold story of the forgotten Sith castaways that figure prominently in the current Star Wars: Fate of the Jedi novel series. Part three of the e-book series is now available as a free download in the Suvudu library.
The series is written by John Jackson Miller, writer of the Dark Horse Comics series Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Lost Tribe of the Sith is the first work Miller has done for Del Rey, and he’s off to a rousing start. The e-books are immediately engaging, even to those who aren’t currently reading Star Wars novels. The struggle of the proud and powerful Sith to come to grips and survive after their ship crashes on a world they do not know is loaded with intrigue, action, plenty of back stabbing, and characters that will stick with you from the start. If you’ve read this far into the post, then you certainly have some interest in Star Wars. I encourage you to check these stories out. All three parts can be found for free in the Suvudu library (part three, Paragon, is at the top of the page and part one, Precipice, and two, Skyborn, can be found by scrolling down).
It was announced recently that Dark Horse Comics and Del Rey will partner on a new Star Wars adventure set to take place about one thousand years before the original movie. The series, Star Wars: Knight Errant, will begin this fall as a monthly comic book written by John Jackson Miller. Del Rey will follow next year with a novel, again written by Miller, which will feature an all new adventure. From starwars.com:

The story takes place more than 1,000 years before the events of A New Hope, during the Dark Age of the Republic when the Sith were powerful. It’s more than a generation before Sith in-fighting led to the rise of Darth Bane, and his restrictive “rule of two” that restructured the order to operate in the shadows. In this timeframe, the Republic is in shambles, crippled by plague and war, and the Sith are dominant.
Miller’s stories will not only explore the complex schemes of competing Sith Lords, including families trying to hold onto power and position amid the threats of ambitious rivals, but also the struggle of a valiant few Jedi willing to face the enemy head-on, in systems and sectors that the Republic has abandoned.
“While the Jedi are doing their best to keep order in what remains of the Republic, those living in this crazy-quilt of Sith dominions are in constant danger,” Miller said. “If their abusive rulers weren’t bad enough, constant internal warfare means no place is safe. Knight Errant asks what it means to be a Jedi outside the Republic, in a time and place where no other hope exists. I’ve greatly enjoyed working with Dark Horse and Del Rey on KOTOR and Lost Tribe, and I’m really excited about the opportunity to develop a new part of the timeline in two media at once.

KOTOR 50.jpgJohn Jackson Miller’s current ongoing series at Dark Horse, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, concludes with issue 50. The series-which has followed reluctant Padawan to surprising hero Zayne Carrick and his grifter best friend, Grif-began publication in 2006 and has been one of my favorite comic books. Miller perfectly captures all of the fun and adventure of the original Star Wars movie trilogy in this series set thousands of years before Luke stared into the twin Tatooine suns. As a fan of both the KOTOR comics and now the Lost Tribe e-books I’m trilled and excited to not only read his new Knight Errant series but work with him as well.
