Amanda, it’s never too late to start gaming. I have people in my gaming group now who started as adults. The trick, I think, is to find a group of people you’re comfortable with (preferably some of them are already your friends), and see if they’ll let you sit in on a session or two. It’s really about as informal a hobby as you can get, once you get into it.
Or not, if you’re still not comfortable with the idea. I just don’t want you feeling that it’s a possible pastime that’s already passed you by.

Thanks for sharing some of your personal experiences and journey. I was always too shy to play D&D, even with my friends, but I loved reading the books. The world building and character creation fascinated me.
I’ve added TCS to my reading list.
