HBO Greenlights GRRM!!!

Huge news just slapped us all with happy grins!
Gigantic news!
News taller than any Wall.
Larger than any dragon.
More powerful than any Imp.
A Game of Thrones is coming to HBO! That’s right, people. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news less than an hour ago. The cable network responsible for great, gritty drama like The Sopranos, Deadwood, and Rome will now be tackling George R. R. Martin’s massive epic. They have ordered 10 episodes in all and shooting begins again this June.
I am giddy about this, if you can’t tell. Still waiting on what George will say on his blog… Yesterday it was quite obvious George probably wasn’t sleeping very well, as HBO continued to decide whether or not to greenlight the project into production.
What a difference a day makes!
What do you all think? Can HBO bring this series to life? I have faith. I know a great many other people who do as well.
Congratulations, George! Sleep well tonight. Get up tomorrow and slay A Dance With Dragons. I hope this good feeling doesn’t enter the actual end of Dance; I don’t want Dany dancing around in a dress giggling uncontrollably having forgotten her conquest because she is so happy!
Now, where is that phone number for HBO?
I have to order cable for next year!
