Separated at Birth? ALIEN’s Xenomorph and Earth’s Slingjaw Wrasse

Aliens.jpgI admire its purity. A survivor unclouded by conscience, remorse, or
delusions of morality.

That quote may be referring to the infamous Xenomorph from the motion picture ALIEN, but I’d like to think that it can equally apply to its Terran sibling, the Slingjaw Wrasse.

Just watch it feed! Remind you of something? I bet that if you shoot it with a spear gun it bleeds acid. In the ocean, no one can hear you scr – okay, well, maybe they can hear you scream, but it sounds a lot like GURBLALUARGUGUIGUGUGUGUG!!!!!!!!!!!!.

And the Slingjaw Wrasse doesn’t give a damn either way.

Tip of the motion detector to Coilhouse.

Me, I have always thought of the dragonflies larvae as an important role model for the Alien
