The apocalypse is coming! What form will it take and how will you survive the catastrophe? Read the scenarios and vote on how you would survive!
It’s May 23rd, 2010. You’ve been waiting your entire life (well, the past six years of it at least) for this moment. Yuengling is stocked, salt-and-pepper chips are on the table, favorite sweatpants are in position–it’s “Lost” night. And not just any “Lost” night. This is the season finale.
The greatest night in TV history.
The battle between good and evil, fate and free will all come to a head tonight. Like any other faithful “Lost” viewer, you’re cheering that the Smoke Monster’s plan to escape the island will fail. Dr. Chang has been haunting your dreams for years, telling you that you never should have stopped pressing the red button. You rue the day Alex Roussau turned off that fence, allowing Keamy’s mercenary squad through to the Others’ camp. Desmond hasn’t suffered through prolonged exposure to a strong electromagnetic force-field for nothing. Juliet didn’t die in vain. It’s clear that Jacob has been right all along–the Man in Black must never leave. You’re counting on our heroes to fix this, and to finally–for once in their (six year!) life–use sound judgment and make a decision that will save them all.

But, they don’t.
Sawyer decides at the last minute that he really is in love with Kate, and jumps in front of the bullet shot by Claire, who was inspired by a fit of maternal madness to shoot the woman who allegedly stole her baby. Kate, in a desperate attempt to subdue Claire, holds a knife to Jack’s throat and tells Claire that if she takes one wrong step she’ll murder her half-brother. In an effort to quickly show Kate her compliance, Claire drops her gun onto a rock etched with a mysterious hieroglyphic symbol which slowly starts to sink into the earth. A rusty mechanical whine is heard, like an ancient motor coming to life again, followed quickly with a futuristic hum of electricity. The rock on the wall behind them dissolves, revealing a panel of numbers that are counting down. It seems like Jin knows where the humming is coming from and how to stop it but is unable to communicate this to anyone because he has forgotten how to speak English. Sun tries to translate, but is devastated to realize that she has forgotten how to speak Korean. Farraday, who has somehow traveled to the island from the parallel universe, suggests that they detonate a nuclear bomb that has been buried nearby to stop the numbers from counting down. Everyone is on board with this except Richard, who is pretty much sick of the whole thing. He stomps off into the woods to have a word with the Jacob, who has somehow become reincarnated as a boy, who runs around the jungle and stares creepily at the Man in Black (in Locke’s body) just to get under his skin. As the numbers tick down, the tension mounts. Farraday and the rest crowd around the hole leading to the bomb and start dropping things down on top of it. Zoe is thrown in for good measure. The bomb explodes, killing everyone.
WHOOSH to the Ajira flight. The Man in Black is sitting in the front row seat, and watches out the window as the island goes up in flames and begins to slowly sink beneath the surface of the water. A small voice breaks his concentration: “Do you have any idea how much I want to kill you right now?” The Man in Black looks over at his companion, a small, blonde boy whose wrists and ankles are bound by strong island grasses. “Yep” says the Man in Black, as black smoke charged with mysterious crackling light starts to cloud his eyes.
What should you do?:
1. Get Desmond! He will know what to do!
2. Build yourself a weird electromagnetic force field fence. Never turn off.
3. Insist angrily that Jacob has not forsaken you and then slam a water bottle on top of a bunch of sticks of unstable dynamite.
4. Consult your lighthouse.
5. Start watching Flash Forward.

Who’s Desmond? (just kidding RCL)
Desmond has been super reliable in the past–I mean doesn’t the name mean super-reliable in ancient gaelic? He is the epitome of the go-to guy. Or was that Falstaff? I still have to go with my main dude, the Big D. He’s simply unstoppable. Truly. Who else are you gonna call on as the earth falls apart? I mean, really. Can you think of someone better? … I’m waiting…hello?
