For the previous two shows, Suvudu has covered Comic Con International.
This will be our third visit, and as always we are excited to go. I am especially. There is nothing like Comic Con on the planet and one must be there to believe it.
Well, as I see it, it is part of my job to try to share that experience with those who can’t go worldwide. That demands a lot. As author Lev Grossman said last year, “I don’t think humans were meant to go to all four days of Comic-Con.” He’s right. It requires planning and stamina in the harshest of climes Earth has to offer.
You think I’m joking. I’m not. Ha!
That doesn’t stop us going though, does it? Why? Because it is fun! Part of that fun is interviewing authors and putting those videos up on Suvudu.com for the whole world to see. Well, I have another idea to bring people a bit closer to the authors. A test for the future, if you will.
I have eight or nine interviews to conduct. To make it a bit more personal, I am going to accept ONE question from each of you here in the comments field for one of my interviewees, author Naomi Novik.
ONE question only.
I haven’t interviewed Naomi before, although we’ve known one another for a number of years. I am now her webmaster and her fans are absolutely wonderful. They love the Temeraire series so much. I want to give that love back in the only way I really know how—by allowing those who can’t meet with her directly to ask her a question and have her answer it in person and taped live.
Here is how it will go down. I will ask her about the next Temeraire book. I will ask her when she hopes it will see publication. I will ask her what else she is working on. I will ask her about the possibility of a movie or television mini-series. I will ask her how her Comic Con is doing. These are common questions that deserve answers. It is your job to come up with the questions that I can’t. Fun questions!

Have you given thought as to how the invention of fighter planes and other mechanical aircrafts would affect the roles of the dragons within the Temeraire universe?
