The Walking Dead, both the comic book series and the television show, is hotter than ever, and with Christmas just around the corner, you might want to think about getting the zombie lover on your holiday shopping list something nice. Here are a few suggestions!
Check out this awesome The Walking Dead beverage glass, just one of four designs available from Taverncraft. Sold in two glass sets, each set retails for $29.99 plus shipping and handling. These same designs are also available on four 25 oz. glass steins, each packaged individually and retailing for $29.99 plus shipping and handling. Holiday delivery is guaranteed within the contiguous United States if ordered prior to December 15, 2010, so if you’ve got a zombie-loving (and beer loving!) friend or family member its not too late to give them a very unique Christmas gift.
Of course, maybe you’d like something a little more refined. Check out these fantastic busts from CS Moore studios. Each bust depicts a zombie from Kirkman’s long-running comic. (CS Moore does some fantastic stuff, and I was really stoked to do an interview with Mr. Moore himself at New York Comic Con. Check it out!)
While we’ve focused on merchandise associated with the comic books so far, there’s a good chance that you or your loved one have never read the series that spawned the television program. With Season One ending this weekend and almost a year before the launch of Season Two, there’s no time like the present to catch up on what you’ve missed. The Walking Dead is available in single issues, trade paperbacks collecting half a dozen or so issues each, several hardcover omnibus editions collecting two dozen issues each or – and this would be my choice for a holiday gift – one huge compendium that collects the first 48 issues. That’s over 1,000 pages of pure zombie mayhem. A perfect, and affordable, introduction to The Walking Dead!.
Maybe you’re not a comic book fan (really? no beer and no comic books?) and instead you’d like to grab some official merchandise from the the AMC series. No problem there. Drop by the channel’s online store and grab a t-shirt, signed poster and more.
