Rejoice, sons and daughters of Westeros!

Our friends at Entertainment Weekly have just scored an advance peek at HBO’s upcoming production, A Game of Thrones.

Sadly, there is no video footage to share, but EW’s James Hibberd has done the next best thing: described exactly what he saw – and didn’t see – at a stop on the exclusive press tour. What he did see: wolves, walls and warriors aplenty – Robert Baratheon, Eddard Stark, Jaime Lannister and even footage of a certain Stark boy who takes a bit of a tumble… What he didn’t see: anything less than awesome.

While Hibberd said that the footage wasn’t quite ready for public viewing yet, he assures readers that it is most definitely going to be a match for the very high standards of Martin’s fans. Perhaps even exceed them.

Read more – and quietly ponder what you’d be willing to do to get a press pass yourself – here.
