Stake Land cares NOT for your sparkly, manscaped, sensitive, boy vampires. This is a return to the bloodsucking bogeymen of old, coldblooded killers from a time when the only thing “twilight” meant was that you’d better get your a** inside and pray for dawn. Set in a post-apocalyptic America, Stake Land is the story of a young boy named Martin (perhaps a node to George A. Romero’s idiosyncratic vampire classic of the same name?) who falls in with a mysterious vampire hunter known only as “Mister.” From what I can see in the trailer, it looks like The Road and 30 Days of Night had a baby…a very, very bad baby.
