Movie studio Lionsgate announced today that they’ve found a director for the long-awaited movie adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith’s genre-mashing novel Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Craig Gillespie. Gillespie was the director of the 2007 indie comedy Lars and the Real Girl, and is currently directing a remake of the eighties vampire flick Fright Night. Gillespie is the third director to have been attached to the project. Prior to Gillespie, The Fighter director David O. Russell and writer/producer Mike White had initially committed to direct the film, which is being produced by Natalie Portman’s handsomcharlie films. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is currently scheduled for a 2013 release.
