British actor Nicholas Read has been given a 20 week suspended prison sentence and ordered to attend a class for sex offenders in connection to an October incident in which Read exposed himself to a 14 year-old girl. The actor, who stands just over four feet tall, has had bit parts in several science fiction fantasy films, including a turn as an ewok in Return of the Jedi and, most recently, a goblin in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
Recorder Richard Bond commented about the case to the Daily Mail.
‘One of the questions I ask myself is whether if I send him to prison for a short sentence he’ll be out in a flash.”
