When the local public radio station host, Kerri Miller, interviewed Cronin a few months ago, he taunted he that he was reading an advance copy of a "werewolf" book he was enjoying, but wouldn't tell her what the book actually was.

It turns out it was this book, and Ms. Miller promptly grabbed the book, read it, and got him on the show not too long ago to talk about the book. She loved it.
