Badass Comic Book Cover: Amazing Spider-Man #671

badass-spider-man671

Every week, I’ll be bringing you a comic book cover that I feel eclipses others out there—to the point I might just have to own it!

The BadAss Comic Book Cover for this week is for Amazing Spider-Man #671. It is Part 5 in the Spider-Island storyline, which has a great many characters we know and love suddenly possessing spider powers.

Why do I love this cover though? So many things, most of them having to do with the sexy Mary Jane Watson. Yes, she gains powers. Yes, she is clinging to a wall. Yes, she looks like she just crawled out of bed and left Peter Parker worn out. From an art point of view, I love how the Spider symbol highlights Mary Jane and how the eyes focus the reader’s eyes down to Mary Jane’s lace. It’s a gorgeous cover.
