A friend of mine shared a project with me that I couldn’t help but to share in turn with Suvudu.com’s readers. The project is a piece of interactive fiction called The Last Sleeper, a hybrid game/story created by an all-star team of artists, producers and engineers. Once it is finished, it will be released on both iPad and Android tablets. Check it out:
The Last Sleeper is the story of a man and a woman, Adam and Fera. As their relationship blossoms, they develop into leaders and warriors, discovering their gift to raise life out of their dead planet, Ephos. But a rivalry develops between the two, and with the life of the planet at stake, they must overcome this growing rift before an ancient evil, The Shadow, consumes all.
Blending elements of science fiction, fantasy, and paranormal romance, The Last Sleeper is an epic tale that relies not just on a powerful narrative, but the seamless integration of sound, image, and touch. What you do, whether you’re healing your teammate Fera or protecting innocent villagers, drives the story as it progresses.
The creative team behind The Last Sleeper includes Kendall Davis (Producer & Designer for Halo 4), Ethan Van Der Ryn (Academy Award winning sound designer for Lord of the Rings), Steve Jablonsky (Composer for Transformers, Gears of War 3), and individuals that have worked on Bioshock 2, Red Dead Redemption, and Dante’s Inferno.
