A fine bunch of book bloggers are planning an event that’s sure to get your Irish eyes a’ smiling: the Kiss Me I’m Irish Read-a-Long!
Join along with the proprietors of The Unread Reader, Geeky Blogger’s Book Blog, On a Book Bender, Smash Attack Reads! and In the Closet with a Bibliophile as they read Kevin Hearne’s Hounded, the first volume of his Iron Druid Chronicles, and get ready to possibly win a bunch of cool prizes. Here’s how it works:
There’s five Fridays in March, and the five bloggers participating will be splitting the chapters of Hounded five ways. Each Friday one of the bloggers will post questions for visitors (that’s you!) to copy and answer at their own blogs. After the visitors do so, they’ll need to return to the blog that originally posted the questions to insert the URL of the post where they (the visitor – you again) answered the questions (on their…er…your own blog) into that blog’s “Mister Linky” widget. After that’s done, all of the participants will visit the blogs to comment on their answers. At the end of the read-a-long, the five bloggers will pick a lucky participant to receive a pack of awesome prizes, including a special pint glass, signed book and tote bag.
The fun starts on the first Friday in March at Geeky Blogger’s Book Blog. Even if you don’t have a blog you’ll still enjoy reading the posts, so be sure to drop in to see what fellow fans are saying.
