The day has finally come!
The Dark Knight Rises his theaters today!
I’m a huge fan of Christopher Nolan. He’s an amazing writer, director, and he hasn’t made a bad film yet, in my opinion. With The Dark Knight Rises, he has put that kind of reputation on the line. Why? Because it is difficult trying to top a movie like 2008’s The Dark Knight. It stunned the world when it came out. A sequel is doomed almost from the start with such giant expectations against it.
That being said, this is the finale to the trilogy and it is clocking in as a very long movie. Those who know Nolan’s work know he never wastes a minute. Are we in for something even more epic than The Dark Knight?
I don’t know. But I can’t wait to sit my ass in the theater and find out!
In preparation of the new movie, I watched Batman Begins and The Dark Knight last night. I watch them every so often anyway, but this time I watched them back to back, a Gotham movie marathon. I’m ready now.

And for those of you who have already seen the movie at midnight showings, what did you think of it? Spoiler-free, of course!
I didn’t watch Batman Begins or The Dark Knight before seeing The Dark Knight Rises, but only because I just ran out of time. I wish I had of watched Batman Begins before seeing The Dark Knight Rises, maybe I’ll watch it tonight and go see The Dark Knight Rises again.
