kay-riverThe internet(s) gives and gives and gives.

There are some great sci-fi/fantasy bloggers out there, fans who are devoting a lot of time and energy into supporting authors and their readers. Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and with the menagerie of unique and very different individuals out there contributing, it produces a whole that is better than its parts.

Last week, Suvudu featured the First 50 Pages of The War That Came Early: Coup d’etat by Harry Turtledove. Fictional Frontiers posted a 15 Minutes of Fiction interview with Amped author Daniel H. Wilson. Matt Staggs continued to post content made at the 2012 San Diego Comic Con with video interviews from Troy Denning and Todd McCaffrey. Thalia Sutton posted the July 2012 Manga New Releases. And I posted The Cover For the Anthology: Unfettered!

In other areas of the professional internet(s), Tor.com posted A Read of Ice & Fire: A Clash of Kings Part 27, Pyr Books featured City of Ruins Nominated, and Orbit Books published video of Kim Stanley Robinson reading from 2312!

Here are some of the blogging highlights I found outside of Suvudu week ending 7/21/12:

  • Comment: Christopher Tolkien Hates the LOTR Movies, posted by A Dribble of Ink
  • Excerpt: A Memory of Light by Robert Jordan & Brandon Sanderson, posted by A Fantasy Reader
  • Review: Gunmetal Magic by Ilona Andrews, read by Fantasy Book Critic
  • Review: Wake of the Bloody Angel by Alex Bledsoe, read by Fantasy Literature
  • Giveaway: Passage by Justin Cronin, given by Graeme’s Fantasy Book Review
  • Interview: Faith Hunter, posted by Grasping For the Wind
  • Comment: New Procurements, posted by The Mad Hatter’s Bookshelf
  • Excerpt: King of Thorns by Mark Lawrence, posted by Pat’s Fantasy Hotlist
  • Review: The Vindico by Wesley King, read by Sci-Fi Chick
  • Cover: River of Stars by Guy Gavriel Kay, posted by Wertzone

I highly recommend all Suvudu readers to visit these fine examples of sci-fi / fantasy blog work! Get involved, post your thoughts, and enjoy what else is out there!

And feel free to talk about it or anything else on our Forum here!

Till next week…
