Every week, I’ll be bringing you a comic book cover that I feel eclipses others out there—to the point I might just have to own it!
The BadAss Comic Book Cover for this week is for Wolverine Max #4. Wolverine has been a long-time fan favorite. I one of those fans. The character has such a rawness about him, it is mirrored in almost every soul. The rage. The anger. The fury. Or, for me, the inability to get the redhead that you’ve always dreamed about. Ha! When Hugh Jackman reprises the role for the next Wolverine movie and then reprises the role again for Days of Future Past, we are going to see a lot of the ole canucklehead and I for one can’t wait!
Why do I love this cover though? There is no doubt where Wolverine is going! Quite simply, it’s a simple image that conveys a lot of conflict—namely gravity and the tons of aluminum pushing at Logan’s back! I also like how the artist has used lines here to denote the speed at which Logan is traveling. I really get a sense of the velocity. Love it!
