The final trailer for Iron Man 3 has hit the internet(s) and boy, does it look good! If you are like me, you loved Iron Man but felt Iron Man 2 lacked a legitimate challenger to Tony Stark.
Well, from what I can tell, Sir Ben Kingsley’s Mandarin is exactly what the franchise needs. A man bent on world domination. A man who is willing to sacrifice everything to gain what he desires. A man who rivals the scientific genius possessed by Stark but none of the morality. With his ten rings, the Mandarin will make a great super villain. And acted by Kingsley, should make for possibly the most epic villain in the Avengers movies.
The trailer itself is badass. Tony Stark is shown as a true man, worried about the things he loves, and yet human, not being able to sleep after what he went through in the movie Avengers. All the characters return and it appears as though Stark has stolen the idea that Whiplash used in Iron Man 2, namely creating an army of Iron Men.
The movie is directed by Shane Black, who is responsible for writing such great movies as Lethal Weapon, The Monster Squad, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Last Action Hero, and many, many others.
He knows humor. He knows action. He knows great dialog. And that’s the epitome of Iron Man to me.
