And an Introduction by George R. R. Martin!

When contributing writer Scott Lynch visited Seattle during his tour for The Republic of Thieves, he did not read from that book. He also did not read from the forthcoming The Thorn of Emberlain, although he teased that he could. No, he read from A Year and a Day in Old Theradane, his novella from Rogues! I asked him if I could record the event. He happily agreed. Then I asked his editor, Anne Groell, if I could post the audio of Scott reading the first five parts out of the fourteen that comprise the story. She loved the idea. I held onto the audio recording, waiting for the perfect moment.

That moment is today! Rogues will publish three months from today on June 17, 2014. And that, coupled with the release of the cover and anthology synopsis, makes it an even more special day!

So here is video of Scott reading the beginning of A Year and a Day in Old Theradane!

Rogues edited by George R. R. Martin & Gardner Dozois will be in fine bookstores on June 17, 2014, just three months from today!

Can’t wait!
