Monster Week: Vampires & Dracula


We’re seeing the word “vampire” being given new meaning, to the point that they’re really not vampires anymore. The ones we see so often portrayed in our stories today are meta-humans, another class of person with superpowers and, occasionally but not always, just a few weaknesses. And that’s fine, really. I’m not going to tell you you can’t enjoy these stories. That’d be insane, as so many people do and because some of these stories are well crafted. But let’s be clear: they don’t feature vampires.
