Pets with Geeky Names: Got One?


A_ixCiTCIAAD2Nv.jpg_largeWe love our science fiction and fantasy, and we love our pets. Sometimes we combine these loves when we name our pets. I know I do. I’ve got a tabby cat named “Grendel” (He lives up to his name – he’s feisty!) and a bearded dragon named “Smaug”. (Pictured here having an infrequent and very much hated bath.) I’ve even named other animals after mythic creatures: My dog’s name is “Pixie”, and one of our dearly departed cats was named “Booka” (A phonetic spelling of ‘bwca’), a goblin of Welsh folklore.
