Because Action Comics #900 hits stands at fine comic book stores around the world. It is the first comic book to reach #900 issues. It didn’t happen by chance. Action Comics has been continuously published since 1938, following the exploits of Superman right from the beginning.

Lois was a tough, independent woman who initially resisted her attraction to Superman and truly disliked Clark Kent. Lois was dismissive of the rookie reporter, especially when he was the one to score the first interview with the newly arrived Superman, despite the hero rescuing her when the space shuttle she was aboard experienced engine failure (Man of Steel #1–2, Early–Late October 1986). Lois quickly rose to become one of the Daily Planet’s most highly regarded reporters and columnists.

During its first battle with Superman, the Golem released so much energy that it appeared to wipe out all life on Earth, leaving only Superman, the Golem, and Luthor. But Luthor discovered that the energy had merely transported all Earth’s inhabitants into a parallel world. After Superman hurled the Golem into space and out of range of the sun’s radiation, the Earth’s inhabitants returned to their own dimension unharmed.
