Thanks to worthplaying.com, we have the first details on the upcoming expansion DLC for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. It’s called Legend of Dead Kel and will hit Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, Origin and Steam on March 20th, 2012.
When Square Enix first announced that Final Fantasy X was being re-released on the PS3 and Playstation Vita in full HD, it was reported that gamers would be graced with a full-fledged remake of the beloved game. Those hopes were recently dashed in an interview with Square Enix’s Shinji Hashimoto, though the project is still on track for release on the two platforms.
When Dragon’s Dogma, an action/adventure game developed by Capcom, ships in July, there’ll be an exciting bonus packed along with the game. Today, Capcom announced that an online download code for a demo of Resident Evil 6, the next mainline addition to the long-running franchise, will be provided for every gamer who purchases a new copy of Dragon’s Dogma. A move like this isn’t underheard of in the videogame industry, and, in fact, has led to increased sales for titles like Crackdown (included a demo of Halo 3), Tobal No. 1 (Final Fantasy 7) and Zone of the Enders (Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty) and is sure to improve exposure for Dragon’s Dogma, a new franchise from Capcom.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is being developed by 38 Studios and Big Huge Games (best known for their work on the original Dungeon Siege video game) and published by EA. This is the first game by 38 Studios, a development studio started by Fantasy heavyweights R.A. Salvatore (NYT Bestselling author and creator of the legendary Drizzt Do’Urden) and Todd McFarlane (comic book artist and creator of Spawn) as well as former baseball player Curt Schilling.

Today Irrational Games made an announcement that’s sure to make fans of System Shock, the spiritual predecessor to BioShock, very happy (and enjoyably frustrated in the future!). It’s called ‘1999 Mode’ and it’s sure to make you cry.
EGM has confirmed that a demo of Mass Effect 3, the highly anticipated Action RPG from BioWare and EA, will hit the PlayStation Network and the Xbox Live Marketplace on February 14th.
