Wards of Faerie, Book I of The Dark Legacy of Shannara, will be published on August 21, 2012 in the US and a week later in the UK.
But the process of publishing a book is a long one that takes almost a year to come to fruition. Right now, Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of Wards of Faerie have just been sent out to early reviewers and booksellers.

Thirty-five years ago, The Sword of Shannara by Terry Brooks published to fantasy acclaim worldwide.
It took more than just a great book though. Lester del Rey and his wife Judy-Lynn knew a winner when they saw one but they wanted to give that winner the best chance possible. They hired two of the most talented artists in the genre to paint the cover and interior artwork for the book.

HBO has purchased the rights from Terry Brooks to adapt Running With the Demon and its sequels. Production will begin later this year and the first season will premier sometime in 2013. As a Terry Brooks expert, I have been asked to writer several of the episodes. More after the jump!
