Zombie Movie ‘The Returned’ A Powerful Allegory

Screen Shot 2014-02-19 at 12.26.04 PMIt’s no secret that the market is pretty much glutted with zombie movies, books and – yes – television shows of varying quality, and while it’s nice to see horror on the front burner of popular culture for once, so much of it is just plain bad. Writers, directors and producers seem to forget that once upon a time, zombie movies actually meant something.

Screen Shot 2014-01-17 at 5.12.12 PMYou’ve probably seen Nick Santonastasso’s hilarious prank videos before (if not, go here and come back. They’re awesome.) A native of New Jersey, Nick was born without legs and with only one arm. He doesn’t let it stop him, though. He plays sports (wrestling) and does all the other stuff that teens do – including pulling pranks. Nick is the ultimate prankster, using his unique body to terrify unsuspecting strangers in a variety of situations.

Cowboys, Zombies and Rogue Preachers: An Interview with Joe R. Lansdale

DeadmansRoad_BookpgeOne of the many perks of working for Suvudu.com is that I have a good excuse to pick the brains of my favorite authors, like Joe R. Lansdale.
